G5 XT is the first small and practical device that can operate in 2 different Working modes: in Standard mode with all the functions of a traditional PMR446 transceiver, or in Baby Sitter mode with only the specific function for the baby monitor use enabled.
As well as its light weight and ultra compact design, G5 XT combines all the functions that you would expect to see on the latest and most advanced two way radio transceivers with the easy and specific use of the Baby Sitter mode.
If you set the radio in Baby Sitter mode, all the other traditional functions are disabled and the transceiver works only as baby monitor.

The Baby Sitter mode allows some specific functions for monitoring the baby:
  • Automatic transmission of the baby’s radio (VOX): the baby’s radio will automatically transmit when it picks up any noises (e.g.: when the baby cries.)
  • Automatic Out of Range: if the parent’s radio moves too far away from the baby’s radio, after 2 minutes an alert beep tone is emitted from the “parent” radio, advising you that the two radios are not in range anymore.
  • Manual Out of Range: you can also manually check if the “baby” radio is in range by pressing the relative button on the parent’s radio.
  • Talk to the baby: normally at any moment, you can talk to the baby by just pressing the PTT button on the parent’s radio.

Thanks to the NEW “Talk Back” function, if the baby’s radio is transmitting for more than 20 seconds, the VOX Talk back function automatically stops the transmission permitting the parent to talk.

G5 XT in Standard mode, has all the functions of a traditional PMR446 transceiver, such as:
- VOX function for handsfree conversations
- Out of Range function to check if the radios are in range
- Scan function to find a busy channel
- 38 CTCSS tones to create new private channels
- Auto power Save function for a reduction in consumption of up to 50%.
